Loom Pattern Contest

I have entered a pattern in the Markman Farms pattern contest. If you are in the Markman yahoo group, you can vote for me :) The pattern is "Emma's Capelet". It is a pull-over capelet I made on a Markman loom. If I win, I will add the side pieces to my loom to make larger projects.

I have started another project on the loom, a purse made of a wonderful wool from Art Fibers. It is heaven to have a beautiful yarn store near by.

  1. Hello. I found your blog through Ravelry while 'surfing' through some threads. I'm always looking for new challenges in knitting and as it happens, my sister (she is a Weaver) has a couple of knitting looms and wants me to try them out. After seeing what you have done I will seriously consider buying one from her. Hmmm...maybe if I'm reeeely nice to her she'll give me a family discount? I've posted your site on my blog, so I hope you get lots of people reading about you and your beautiful work. Peace and Blessings to you.

  2. Love your blog. I too have limited eyesight and have to get very close to what I am working on. I loom knit, regular knit, embroider, spin, weave and just started needle felting. What fun!

My husband is almost totally blind, so the blind leading the blind is a typical phrase in our house. At least we don't see the dust bunnies on the floor. lol

Yarn is so tacticle, I don't know what I would do without it.

I remember as a teenager (am an old lady now), there was a blind lady at the nursing home where my mother worked and she knitted the cutest little dolls. She had the pattern in her memory. When I am having trouble with a project, I think of her.

Thank you for the large type. We have a program on the computer that makes the type larger or talks to us. It is called Zoom. Also a keyboard with yellow keys to see it better.
    Keep up the good work.
    Bonnie
